Peanuts Guide to Life

Peanuts Wisdom on Parade

What do cartoon characters know about life? Plenty, if they reflect the sentiments of the world's most beloved cartoonist. The late Charles Schulz was the first to use the human condition—rather than action and adventure—as the basis for a comic strip. Peanuts Guide to Life presents Schulz' classic observations, his most charming counsel—filtered, of course, through his loveable cast of characters. You'll find them all inside this book—Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Sally, Lucy, Schroeder, Peppermint Patty, Marcie, Woodstock—sharing their wry observations and advice.
Foreword by Andy Cohen.

Superficial: More Adventures from the Andy Cohen Diaries

The star-studded and sidesplitting follow up to The Andy Cohen Diaries

The megapopular host of Watch What Happens: Live and executive producer of The Real Housewives franchise is back, better than ever, and telling stories that will keep his publicist up at night.

Since the publication of his last book, Andy has toured the country with his sidekick Anderson Cooper, hit the radio waves with his own Sirius station, Radio Andy, appeared on Real Time with Bill Maher despite his mother’s conviction he was not intellectually prepared, hosted NBC’s Primetime New Year’s Eve special, guest edited Entertainment Weekly, starred in Bravo’s Then & Now with Andy Cohen, offended celebrities with his ongoing case of foot-in-mouth disease, and welcomed home Teresa “Namaste” Giudice, from a brief stint in jail. Hopping from the Hamptons to the Manhattan dating world, the dog park to the red carpet, Cardinals superfan and mama’s boy Andy Cohen, with Wacha in tow, is the kind of star that fans are dying to be friends with. This book gives them that chance.

If The Andy Cohen Diaries was deemed “the literary equivalent of a Fresca and tequila” by Jimmy Fallon, Superficial is a double: dishier, juicier, and friskier. In this account of his escapades―personal, professional, and behind-the-scenes―Andy tells us not only what goes down, but exactly what he thinks of it.

Most Talkative: Stories from the Front Lines of Pop Culture

The man behind the Real Housewives writes about his lifelong love affair with pop culture that brought him from the suburbs of St. Louis to his own television show

From a young age, Andy Cohen knew one thing: He loved television. Not in the way that most kids do, but in an irrepressible, all-consuming, I-want-to-climb-inside-the-tube kind of way. And climb inside he did. Now presiding over Bravo's reality TV empire, he started out as an overly talkative pop culture obsessive, devoted to Charlie's Angels and All My Children and to his mother, who received daily letters from Andy at summer camp, usually reminding her to tape the soaps. In retrospect, it's hard to believe that everyone didn't know that Andy was gay; still, he remained in the closet until college. Finally out, he embarked on making a career out of his passion for television.

The journey begins with Andy interviewing his all-time idol Susan Lucci for his college newspaper and ends with him in a job where he has a hand in creating today's celebrity icons. In the witty, no-holds-barred style of his show Watch What Happens Live, Andy tells tales of absurd mishaps during his ten years at CBS News, hilarious encounters with the heroes and heroines of his youth, and the real stories behind The Real Housewives. Dishy, funny, and full of heart, the New York Times bestseller, Most Talkative, provides a one-of-a-kind glimpse into the world of television, from a fan who grew up watching the screen and is now inside it, both making shows and hosting his own.

The Andy Cohen Diaries: A Deep Look at a Shallow Year

A year in the whirlwind life of the beloved pop icon Andy Cohen, in his own cheeky, candid, and irreverent words

As a TV Producer and host of the smash late night show Watch What Happens Live, Andy Cohen has a front-row seat to an exciting world not many get to see. In this dishy, detailed diary of one year in his life, Andy goes out on the town, drops names, hosts a ton of shows, becomes codependent with Real Housewives, makes trouble, calls his mom, drops some more names, and, while searching for love, finds it with a dog. This honest, irreverent, and laugh-out-loud funny book is a one-of-a-kind account of the whos and whats of pop culture in the twenty-first century.

“The funniest thing I've done all year is read Andy Cohen’s Diaries. He has more genuinely funny and surprising encounters with celebrities and sublebrities in a day than I do all year. Then my name popped up. Now I just want to sue him.” ―Anderson Cooper
“Andy Cohen’s Diaries are the literary equivalent of a Fresca and tequila.” ―Jimmy Fallon
Remarkable…an important text when it comes to understanding what it is to be a gay man today.”―Time

Fins at 50: Celebrating a Half Century of Miami Dolphins Football
It began so fittingly back in the fall of 1966 with a kickoff return for a touchdown on the very first play of the first regular season game. Indeed, the Miami Dolphins wasted no time giving their fans plenty to cheer about and now, 50 seasons later, this proud franchise has produced two world championships, including the only perfect season in NFL history, as well as five AFC championships, 13 AFC East titles and enough memorable moments to last a lifetime.

Fins at Fifty will take you on a journey through it all, each page capturing the essence of what this franchise is all about with one-of-a-kind photos and historic artifacts from the team's official archive as well as stories that take you deep inside the history of a team that is as popular both nationally and internationally as any in the NFL. There's even a Foreword by Don Shula, the winningest coach in NFL history.

Fins at Fifty will re-visit the early days and the struggles of a young team, then take you through the Shula years and the meteoric rise of a franchise from fledglings to champions. You'll get a close-up look at the 1972 Dolphins, a team that simply refused to lose. You'll see Bob Griese and Larry Csonka and the No-Name defense, you'll follow the emergence of a young, confident quarterback in Dan Marino and you'll look back at the splendid careers of such recent stars as Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas.

You'll re-live the biggest plays and the most important victories and you'll read about many of the players and coaches who have made this franchise what it is today.

The Miami Dolphins have quite a story to tell and Fins at Fifty, a keepsake publication celebrating a century of Dolphins football, will give you a front row seat. We hope you enjoy the view.

The 1934 St. Louis Cardinals: The World Champion Gas House Gang (The SABR Digital Library) (Volume 20)
The 1934 St. Louis Cardinals were one of the most colorful crews ever to play the National Pastime. Sportswriters delighted in assigning nicknames to the players, based on their real or imagined qualities. What a cast of characters it was! None was more picturesque than Pepper Martin, the “Wild Horse of the Osage,” who ran the bases with reckless abandon, led his teammates in off thefield hijinks, and organized a hillbilly band called the Mississippi Mudcats. He was quite a baseball player, the star of the 1931 World Series and a significant contributor to the 1934 championship. The harmonica player for the Mudcats was the irrepressible Dizzy Dean. Full of braggadocio, Dean delivered on his boasts by winning 30 games in 1934, the last National League hurler to achieve that feat. Dizzy and his brother Paul accounted for all of the Cardinal victories in the 1934 World Series. Some writers tried to pin the moniker Daffy on Paul, but that name didn’t fit the younger and much quieter brother. The club’s hitters were led by the New Jersey strong boy, Joe “Ducky” Medwick, who hated the nickname, preferring to be called “Muscles.” Presiding over this aggregation was the “Fordham Flash,” Frankie Frisch. Rounding out the club were worthies bearing such nicknames as Ripper, “Leo the Lip,” Spud, Kiddo, Pop, Dazzy, Ol’ Stubblebeard, Wild Bill, Buster, Chick, Red, and Tex. Some of these were aging stars, past their prime, and others were youngsters, on their way up. Together they comprised a championship ball club. “The Gas House Gang was the greatest baseball club I ever saw. They thought they could beat any ballclub and they just about could too. When they got on that ballfield, they played baseball, and they played it to the hilt too. When they slid, they slid hard. There was no good fellowship between them and the opposition. They were just good, tough ballplayers.” — Cardinals infielder Burgess Whitehead on "When It Was A Game," HBO Sports, 1991 Introductory Articles Brief History of the pre-1934 Cardinals by Parker J.
