Rap and Write Tutoring Books 1 - 6 were developed for multi-purposes. They're for Pre-K through Grade 3 for any student learning phonics, letter formation, sounding out words, writing, spelling and reading skills. The tutoring program is constructed for a classroom intervention program. It's designed for a tutoring business. The most critical skills are targeted. The six books are self-explanatory and concise. Lessons are scripted. Lessons are timed in two 30-minute segments. Skills are taught the first 30 minutes. Application of the skills using story writing follows for the next 30 minutes. The time frame is one year. Any tutor can advertise exactly what key skills are taught. A student knows exactly what is expected.

Rap and Write Tutoring Books 1 and 2 teach letter formation and sounds in a systematic manner. It's unique. Letters are grouped into: 8 circle letters, 5 "hop to the top" tall letters, 12 "hop to the top short letters, and the exercise letter e. Young students quickly master the logic of learning "how to" place letters on paper. They immediately apply these skills into sounding out words, story writing and spelling in Books 3, 4, 5 and 6.

Ruth would like to have every child to know how God created our ears to hear his awesome and beautiful creation that is all around us. The ear has three different parts, and all the parts work together to allow us to hear several sounds at once, all within a millisecond.

Family history and genealogy of Ruth Martin (1873-1967), daughter of Gov. John Alexander Martin and Ida Challiss. She was born in Atchison, Kansas, where she also died. Her parents were born in Brownsville, Pa., and Moorestown, N.J. She was married to Paul Gerhardt Tonsing (1870-1936), son of Ernst Frederick Tonsing and Anna Maria Gertrude Walker, in 1893. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio of German parents. His father Ernst, a cabinet maker, landed in Baltimore on Oct. 15, 1845. His mother, Anna Maria Gertrude was of Brachhausen, Germany. Another early immigrant ancestor, Gebhard Harres (1801-1863), was born in Brunswich, Vallstadt, Germany, and died in Atchison, Kansas. Family members and descendants live in Kansas, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Oklahoma, Texas and elsewhere.
