Mientras más confías en ti misma, tu malestar será mucho menor al ser rechazada; algunas personas nunca se recuperan de una ruptura porque se sienten sin valor tras el rechazo y no porque aman a esa persona. Lo mismo ocurre con las entrevistas de trabajo, una persona puede sentirse deprimida después de una entrevista de trabajo porque piensa que no es buena y no porque tiene una gran necesidad de trabajar.

Te sentirás menos ansioso cuanto más confías en ti mismo. Se experimenta ansiedad cuando no estás seguro sobre el resultado de lo que estás haciendo, y si eres lo suficientemente seguro de ti mismo no tienes porqué sentirte ansioso.

El estrés puede ser el resultado de poca autoconfianza, tener dudas en cuanto a tu capacidad para terminar tu trabajo a tiempo o no estar segura de tu capacidad para lidiar con tus problemas de la vida pueden resultar en estrés.

Sentirás menos celos en cuanto más confianza sientes en ti mismo. Los celos son el sentimiento que tenemos cuando sentimos que estamos siendo amenazados por otro competidor, si hubiéramos tenido suficiente confianza como para saber que no estamos amenazados no sentiríamos celos.

Serás más atractiva cuanto más confianza tienes en ti misma. Las investigaciones han demostrado que las personas que confían en sí mismas son percibidas como mucho más atractivas por sus coetáneos que sus amigos que carecen de confianza en sí mismos.

Las personas se enamoran de aquellas que tienen rasgos complementarios, y como la mayoría de las personas carecen de confianza en sí mismos, una persona humilde y segura de sí misma atrae amigos y amantes.
