FIBONACCI SERIES (2 Book Series)
From Book 1: 55. That is the number carved on a sea shell in the hand of a dead heroin addict when rookie Detective Ameena Jardine, aka AJ, meets D.E.A. Agent Tony Aserbbo on her first solo assignment. With help from I.S.B. forensic technician Peter Yates and Medical Examiner Cassie Owen, the death is ruled an overdose – nothing unusual considering the heroin epidemic plaguing New England.

34. That is the number of daisies in the hand of another dead heroin addict a year later when the crime scene brings AJ and Tony back together for the first time since their relationship dissolved. Tensions aside, that does not stop her boss, Deputy Director Conrad McMillan, from making the pair official partners as they follow several leads and missing persons to a new drug organization called the Fasciata Order.

Yet, AJ and Tony never see the connection with the numbers, even after they discover both bodies have identical octopus tentacle tattoos. They do not see the connection with the heroin used in each overdose: Prussian Black, a new designer heroin made with octopus venom and distributed by the Fasciata Order.

And she does not realize that, on the days the bodies are discovered, the anonymous gifts given to her are from a mysterious hacker named Copernicus who claims to be watching over her and protecting her from the cartel. She does not realize how much danger she is in.

It’s not until Dr. Raymond Pinick, a former university professor and grieving father, contacts her, before she realizes there may be a link.

144. 89. Those are the numbers carved into additional items from two other deaths uncovered by Dr. Pinick. Both victims have octopus tentacle tattoos, both died of heroin overdoses. The first victim is the professor’s son, and it’s the son’s death which starts Dr. Pinick’s search for the truth, insisting – almost manically – that there is a serial killer out there. But even after reviewing some of the professor’s data, there is not enough evidence to prove the deaths were anything more than random drug overdoses.

AJ and Tony spar over Dr. Pinick’s evidence; the former believes him, the latter does not. And as she begins to uncover evidence and dive deeper into the professor’s research and the Fasciata connection, a car accident sends her step-father and son into the hospital, derailing her momentum. Only then does AJ question the secrets Tony is hiding from her and the true intent of the mysterious hacker named Copernicus.

From the start of her first solo assignment to the end of Book Three, AJ struggles with PTSD, self-esteem problems, and many layers of pain. She can’t bring herself to love Tony or anyone else until she finds her husband’s killers. She can’t raise two children by herself anymore. She is forced to rely on living with her parents: Jamilla, her Lebanese Muslim mother, and Ernest, her Scottish Catholic step-father.

THE JARDINE TRILOGY (MODI INDORUM, ABBACI, and ZEPHIRUM) is told from AJ’s third-person limited perspective and only reveals part of the story. The rest of the story is revealed in future books through the serial killer’s and Tony’s points of view.

Miss Hart and Miss Hunter Investigate (3 Book Series)
From Book 1: A mansion, a title and marriage to a wealthy Lord – Lady Eveline Cartwright has it all. Unfortunately, it’s not enough to prevent her being bludgeoned to death one night in the study of Merisham Lodge, the family’s country estate in Derbyshire.

Suspicion quickly falls on her ne’er-do-well son, Peter, but not everyone in the household is convinced of his guilt. Head kitchen maid Joan Hart and lady’s maid, Verity Hunter, know that when it comes to a crime, all is not always as it seems.

With suspicions and motives thick on the ground, Joan and Verity must use all the wit and courage they possess to expose a deadly murderer who will stop at nothing to achieve their aim…

Murder at Merisham Lodge is the first in a new series of historical mysteries, Miss Hart and Miss Hunter Investigate, set in the 1930s. The author, Celina Grace, is the creator of the bestselling The Kate Redman Mysteries and The Asharton Manor Mysteries, as well as several standalone thrillers.

Praise for Celina Grace by Amazon and Goodreads reviewers:

"Thoroughly enjoyed this read. I've been waiting for this story since the first of the Asharton novellas was published and I am very glad to see more of Joan and Verity. I think they are a great mystery team. Smart and active, but in a believable way. You don't ever wonder how they could do what they do within the confines of their social roles and their "real" jobs are never thrown to the side."

"Celina makes her characters someone you care about. I enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes mysteries, especially period mysteries."

" I love her writing style. This book does not disappoint. A great mix of mystery, humor and wonderful characters. All in a beautiful Manor. Very enjoyable read."

"I have read the four Asharton Manor books and enjoyed them all, but the first story that introduced Joan and Verity was my favorite and I am so glad the author wrote another story with the two of them. This time period is very interesting to me and then to throw in a couple murders to solve makes it extra interesting. I hope to read more about Joan, Verity and ( maybe Inspector Marks ?) in future books."

Was macht Verfall besonders?
