Jim personally encountered the green mamba, army ants into manhood, puff adder and suffered the introduction throw-up story as retold in the novel! Jim has been to eleven African countries where he mingled with the locals. Born in Dallas, Jim spent his childhood in Africa as a missionary kid. Jim has pastored 3 churches and serves as a missionary to Ivory Coast. A teacher of 23 years in math, French and Spanish. His university degrees are a BS in Mathematics, Master of Divinity, Master of Secondary Education, and a Master of Educational Technology. The book is illustrated by Dawn Darnell, Jim's wife, who is a globally recognized photographer and a visual artist.
