Interdimensional Gateways

by: SA’AY
release date: Feb 27, 2018
Interdimensional Gateways
Our world has always been under the shadow of paranormal beings. Ever since the dawn of civilization, powerful races from different dimensions have been pulling the strings on humanity. Modern day science calls them aliens, whereas different religions identify them as either Gods or Demons. This war started eons ago in a period, now known as ‘Satyuga,’ when an elite fighter race called ‘Gandharva,’ responsible for guarding the dimensional Gateways were attacked by an unknown entity. Adish and Savarnik are living a perfectly normal life in Delhi. But a simple act of helping a stranger during one of their road trips sets into motion a chain of events that pulls them into this simmering conflict. They are left fending for themselves as they encounter forces beyond their comprehension and find themselves as pawns of this cross-dimensional war. The fate of not only their world but all ‘worlds’ hangs in the balance. Only Gods can save them. But who will save the Gods?

Information Geometry

release date: Aug 25, 2017
Information Geometry
The book provides a comprehensive introduction and a novel mathematical foundation of the field of information geometry with complete proofs and detailed background material on measure theory, Riemannian geometry and Banach space theory. Parametrised measure models are defined as fundamental geometric objects, which can be both finite or infinite dimensional. Based on these models, canonical tensor fields are introduced and further studied, including the Fisher metric and the Amari-Chentsov tensor, and embeddings of statistical manifolds are investigated. This novel foundation then leads to application highlights, such as generalizations and extensions of the classical uniqueness result of Chentsov or the Cramér-Rao inequality. Additionally, several new application fields of information geometry are highlighted, for instance hierarchical and graphical models, complexity theory, population genetics, or Markov Chain Monte Carlo. The book will be of interest to mathematicians who are interested in geometry, information theory, or the foundations of statistics, to statisticians as well as to scientists interested in the mathematical foundations of complex systems.

Pediatric Cranial MRI
Normal cranial anatomy as seen by MRI in children aged 1 month to 21 years is comprehensively depicted in this atlas. As such it represents an invaluable tool for establishing normal baseline anatomy of the developing brain when evaluating suspected disease, trauma, or developmental delay in pediatric subjects. There are 124 normal cases presented, 62 each of boys and girls, at intervals from ages one month to 21 years. Six axial images are presented for each case. The images were obtained from Siemens, GE, and HI Standard machines. A brief introduction covers key issues in the development of white matter and special topics in pediatric neuroimaging.

A Thread of Time

A Thread of Time
It was clear to Lance that his father hated him. Why else would he leave everything to Hank, except for that coin? You know, the one with some dude's head on it, the ancient Euro or whatever it was. Except it wasn't a Euro according to the pawnbroker. Turns out, it's an old Imperial Coin from the days of the Great Emperor, and it might be worth a whole lot of dough on the other side of the galaxy, if Lance could somehow manage to take it there. But, how does a guy, who owes the hospital a lifetime's worth of earnings, manage to travel across the stars? Turns out, he can do it for free. Not only that, but he can get three squares a day, an apartment complete with roommates, and two sets of clothes, albeit in spandex. It's like prison, but with benefits. It's SpaceForce. In the meantime, on the other side of the galaxy, Ailana is stuck next to her hated cousin, Embo in their grandmother's sewing shop, forever listening to the old woman wax on about her glory days as a Royal Seamstress. No matter how she tries, Ailana can't break free of Grandmother and her needling, even after the old woman is dead. However, it will be through her needle and thread, that Ailana gains admittance into the privileged world of the nobility, where fate will introduce her to a man that bears a striking resemblance to the face on Lance's coin.

Founders of Constructive Postmodern Philosophy

release date: Jan 01, 1993
Founders of Constructive Postmodern Philosophy
In presenting Peirce, James, Bergson, Whitehead, and Hartshorne as members of a common and distinctively postmodern trajectory, this book casts the thought of each of them in a new light. It also suggests a new direction for the philosophical community as a whole, now that the various forms of modern philosophy, and even the deconstructive form of postmodern philosophy, are widely perceived to be dead-ends. This new option offers the possibility that philosophy may recover its role as critic and guide within the more general culture, a recovery that is desperately needed in these perilous times.
