New Releases by Maggie Stiefvater

The dreamers walk among us...and so do the dreamed. Those who dream cannot stop dreaming--they can only try to control it. Those who are dreamed cannot have their own lives--they will sleep forever if their dreamers die. And then there are those who are drawn to the dreamers. To use them. To trap them. To kill them before their dreams destroy us all. Ronan Lynch is a dreamer. He can pull both curiosities and catastrophes out of his dreams and into his compromised reality. Jordan Hennessy is a thief. The closer she comes to the dream object she is after, the more inextricably she becomes tied to it. Carmen Farooq-Lane is a hunter. Her brother was a dreamer...and a killer. She has seen what dreaming can do to a person. And she has seen the damage that dreamers can do. But that is nothing compared to the destruction that is about to be unleashed... This description comes from the publisher. *Call Down the Hawk* is the first book in the Dreamers Trilogy; this is the sequel series to the Raven Boys series, the first of which is *The Raven Boys*.

It happens at the start of every November: the Scorpio Races. Riders attempt to keep hold of their water horses long enough to make it to the finish line. Some riders live. Others die. At age nineteen, Sean Kendrick is the returning champion. He is a young man of few words, and if he has any fears, he keeps them buried deep, where no one else can see them. Puck Connolly is different. She never meant to ride in the Scorpio Races. But fate hasn't given her much of a chance. So she enters the competition — the first girl ever to do so. She is in no way prepared for what is going to happen.

Sam has always loved grace. As a wolf, he watched her from afar. As a boy, he held her in his arms. Now facing life without her, Sam will do anything to keep grace safe. Even if it means risking everything he has. Anything, as long as their love can survive....

Cole St. Clair and Isabel Culpeper share a past that, to neither of them, never seemed to have a future--but now that Isabel has left Cole for Los Angeles, Cole realizes that he cannot live without her. However, when they get back together, the old fears and dark power in each of them threaten to tear them apart forever.

Though she is from a family of clairvoyants, Blue Sargent's only gift seems to be that she makes other people's talents stronger. When she meets Gansey, one of the boys from the expensive Aglionby Academy, she discovers that he has talents of his own--and that together their talents are a dangerous mix. Blue has a policy of staying away from Aglionby boys. Known as "raven boys", they can only mean trouble. For as long as she can remember, Blue has been warned that she will cause her true love to die. She never thought this would be a problem. But now, as her life becomes caught up in the strange and sinister world of the raven boys, she's not so sure anymore.

Now that the ley lines around Cabeswater are awake, magic is swirling around Blue and The Raven boys and Ronan Lynch's ability to pull objects from his dreams is almost out of control but worst of all, the mysterious Gray Man is stalking the Lynch family, looking for something called the Greywaren.

As Grace hides the vast depth of her love for Sam from her parents and Sam struggles to release his werewolf past and claim a human future, a new wolf named Cole wins Isabel's heart but his own past threatens to destroy the whole pack.
