Marupa is a fictional story that takes place on a South Pacific island called Shantu. On this island is a very high and dangerous mountain called Kuja. Only one person has ever successfully climbed to the very top of Kuja. That was Chief Akunda, one of the island''s previous chiefs. He placed a rare and priceless black pearl necklace at the very top of the mountain to memorialize the death of his young wife. That happened several generations ago. Although Marupa is an accomplished warrior, he must now face the challenge of eleven other warriors trying to retrieve the necklace. There will be many death-threatening perils that he must overcome in order to wed the princess he loves. The story revolves around the lives of Marupa, his family, pets, friends, and his love for Alandra.
