Transcript of speech presented by Dawn Casey to the National Press Club Canberra, July 4, 2012; concerns Indigenous Business Australia''s (IBA) and Indigenous Land Corporation''s (ILC) investments in business enterprises, projects, and funding for Indigenous small business, which provides work (including self-employment opportunities) for Indigenous Australians; funds are invested in the tourism, hospitality and pastoral industries, which in turn leads to people being able to afford housing; Indigenous knowledge has lead to successful innovation in the carbon economy, in particular, the Fish River Fire Project established by the Indigenous Land Corporation, which demonstrates how "Indigenous pattern burning can establish a sustainable enterprise that not only protects the property''s significant biodiversity values, but also generates employment and income for Indigenous people" [p. 10].

High up in a tree, tantalizingly out of reach, is a bee''s nest full of honey. All the animals want to get hold of it, but the tree is guarded by the terrifying, sleeping beastie. They have to creep, whisper and climb on top of each other in their attempt to topple the hive-without waking the beastie! Can Pig, Donkey, Lamb, Dog and Cockerel work out how to get the honey...or will the beastie grab them?

The story of Yeh-Shen is believed to be the original telling of the Cinderella story. Yeh-Shen is raised by her stepmother who always gives her the hardest chores. Yeh-Shen''s only friend is a fish, whom her stepmother kills. The bones of the fish are magical and they grant her wish to go to the village festival where she loses her slipper.

Fox plays a part in an Aesop''s fable and a Chinese fable.
