Has Kaya entered a safe haven from catastrophe, or somewhere much darker? Kaya has no memory of her life before she arrived in Attica a decade ago with her adopted brother, Wes. They were seeking shelter in the small community of survivors from something far sinister outside its walls. But Attica is a prison of its own, where life is tightly controlled through oppressive rules and rituals. When Wes starts acting strangely and then dies, Kaya wonders if he’d remembered something significant from his past. She herself is curious about who the familiar yet mysterious man is that appears in her dreams, stirring her memories. As Kaya’s questions about Attica and her own past grow, she discovers that nothing—and no one—is as it seems. But will uncovering the truth about Attica—and herself—set her free . . . or destroy her? A gripping, spine-chilling, and thought-provoking speculative thriller with a mind-blowing twist, perfect for fans of Blake Crouch, The Tomorrow Project, and A History of Wild Places by Shea Ernshaw.

Gallbladder Diet

release date: Jun 02, 2021
Gallbladder Diet
Surgeons remove more than 600,000 gallbladders each year to help eliminate pain associated with it. Often times, surgery is done because of gallstones, which are hard deposits of digestive fluid in the gallbladder. As people age, gallstones become more common. If you have your gallbladder removed, you'll likely experience changes in your digestion and will need to carefully watch your diet. The gallbladder, which is a pear-shaped organ on your right side beneath your liver, isn't necessary. However, it does help you digest fatty foods. It also stores, concentrates and secretes the bile your liver makes. After surgery, your liver will still make enough bile, but you might have difficulty processing fatty foods - at least for a while. More than half of patients who have their gallbladder removed have trouble digesting fat. What you can eat right after surgery depends on your situation. Sometimes, doctors recommend liquids and soft foods. Other times, doctors let you eat what appeals to you. In most cases, you'll find that soft, bland foods are easiest to digest. This includes foods like bananas, white rice, boiled potatoes, plain pasta, dry toast, and crackers. Gradually, you'll be able to advance your diet and add more flavorful foods So What are you waiting for? Scroll up, click the ''buy button now''

release date: Jun 01, 2021
Healing Herbs Book
Herbs can be used in an unlimited number of ways. The more you use herbs, the more adventurous you will become. Besides boosting the flavours, smells, looks and textures in your meals, the more herbs you try, the wider the variety of potential health benefits you are likely to receive. Consuming herbs may help to prevent and manage heart disease, cancer and diabetes. It may also help to reduce blood clots and provide anti-inflammatory and anti-tumour properties. Research is ongoing but studies have shown that: Garlic, linseed, fenugreek and lemongrass may help lower cholesterol. Garlic is useful for people with mildly elevated blood pressure. Fenugreek can help control blood sugar and insulin activity (as can linseed, flaxseed and cinnamon). Garlic, onions, chives, leeks, mint, basil, oregano, sage and many other herbs can help protect against cancer. Herbs are rich in antioxidants, especially cloves, cinnamon, sage, oregano and thyme, by helping to reduce low-density lipoproteins ('bad' cholesterol). Fresh herbs often contain higher antioxidant levels compared to processed or dried herbs but if you are using herbs in order to harness their health-promoting aspects first and foremost, aim to add your fresh herbs at the end of cooking or as you serve to preserve these properties. Diabetic Meal Prep for Beginners

release date: Apr 22, 2021
Diabetic Meal Prep for Beginners
" Why do you need to develop a healthy-eating plan? If you have diabetes or prediabetes, your doctor will likely recommend that you see a dietitian to help you develop a healthy-eating plan. The plan helps you control your blood sugar (glucose), manage your weight and control heart disease risk factors, such as high blood pressure and high blood fats. When you eat extra calories and fat, your body creates an undesirable rise in blood glucose. If blood glucose isn't kept in check, it can lead to serious problems, such as a high blood glucose level (hyperglycemia) that, if persistent, may lead to long-term complications, such as nerve, kidney and heart damage. You can help keep your blood glucose level in a safe range by making healthy food choices and tracking your eating habits. For most people with type 2 diabetes, weight loss also can make it easier to control blood glucose and offers a host of other health benefits. If you need to lose weight, a diabetes diet provides a well-organized, nutritious way to reach your goal safely. What does a diabetes diet involve? A diabetes diet is based on eating three meals a day at regular times. This helps you better use the insulin that your body produces or gets through a medication. "
