Die Manga- Adaption von Keito Koume folgt weitgehend dem Originalplot mit den beiden Hauptfiguren, dem Kaufmann Lawrence und der Wolfsgottheit Holo, die sich auf einer Reise nach Norden in die Heimat Holos befinden. Es ist eine Reise, die durch das Lernen aus Alltagserfahrungen und dem Kampf gegen vielfältige Hindernisse geprägt ist und die das Leben der beiden verändern wird.

Die Reise der weisen Wölfin Holo und des Kaufmanns Lawrence geht weiter: Während sich Holo und Lawrence in der Hafenstadt Gerube aufhalten, wird dort ein sehr seltener und äußerst wertvoller Einhornwal angelandet.
