This book of dialogues with Krishnamurti addresses the main, or perhaps the only, question being asked by those who have listened to him for several years: ‘Why has the teachings not brought about a radical change in my life? Has the end of my journey come about? If not, why?’ Asserting that nothing else matters in life except this and at the same time refusing to give ready-made answers, he urges his listeners to find the answer for themselves. Deny thought, he says and explains what he means by it: ‘Deny any movement of thought to reach beyond itself and go further than its own consciousness. That’s all; that’s all. To realize that is to realize something extraordinary.’ Consisting of discussions with small groups, held in India between 1965 and 1984, the book turns on this theme, which is stated in different words and in different contexts by various participants or by Krishnamurti himself. What these selections reveal is not just Krishnamurti’s answers to the questions posed by the participants, but the methodology of his dialogue itself. It is hoped that those who, over the years, have gone deeply into his teachings will find the dialogues of special significance in their own journey.

On God, is one of a series of theme books put together from the talks and writings of J. Krishnamurti. The book contemplates our search for the sacred. 'Sometimes you think life is mechanical, and at other times when there is sorrow and confusion, you revert to faith, looking to a supreme being for guidance and help.' Krishnamurti explores fully the futility of seeking knowledge of the ‘unknowable’ and shows that it is only when we have ceased seeking with our intellects that we may be ‘radically free’ to experience Reality, Truth, or bliss. He presents the ‘religious mind’ as one that directly perceives the sacred rather than adhering to religious dogma.

On Love and Loneliness, another volume in the series of 'Theme books', is a compelling investigation of our intimate relationships with ourselves. others and society. Krishnamurti suggests that 'true relationship' can come into being only when there is self-knowledge of the conditions which divide and isolate individuals and groups. 'It is only when the mind is not escaping in any form that it is possible to be in direct communion with that thing which we call loneliness, the alone; and to have communion with that thing, there must be affection, there must be love', says Krishnamurti.

And this book is meant primarily for those unacquainted with his vision of life which he maintained, was not his teachings but the teachings and never my teachings. The present compilation, consisting of eleven conversations with the young, were held not on university campuses, but in the houses where Krishnamurti stayed during his annual visits to India. Krishnamurti talks about the fundamental difference between functional knowledge—which is necessary for survival in the world—and psychological knowledge, which creates the illusion that individuals are evolving towards a personal utopia. His insight that ‘knowledge is destroying us’ is apt for the present age which proudly calls itself the ‘knowledge society’. This insight demands a completely revolutionary approach to life, an approach which should begin from a very young age.

This book consists of six discussions that Krishnamurti had with teachers of Rajghat Besant School and Rishi Valley School in 1984. It may be regarded as an introduction to his vision of education for those who, seeing the collapse of educational systems in the modern world, feel therefore the importance of their being teachers of a different kind. Throughout his life, Krishnamurti maintained that teachers had a special respon-sibility in that they had to nurture not only the academic side of a child but also, and more importantly, the psychological side, which is what is generally taken for granted in modern education. For Krishnamurti, the educational setting is only a context for exploring the larger issues of human existence. The relevance of his vision is certainly not confined to the teaching profession, and so these discussions are meant for all—teachers or taught, professionals or parents, young or old.

“Tự do đầu tiên và cuối cùng” tập hợp 20 bài nói chuyện và 38 lời giải đáp thắc mắc về nhiều chủ đề của triết gia Ấn Độ thế kỷ XX- Jiddu Krishnamurti (1895-1986). Đây cũng là một trong những tựa sách đầu tiên đưa tên tuổi Krishnamurti trở thành một triết gia có ảnh hưởng lớn đối với thế giới. Nhưng nếu mắc kẹt lại ở đây, việc lặp lại này sẽ trở thành hình thức thay thế cho việc tìm kiếm Sự Thật.
