Following the Battle of Fallen Timbers in 1794 and the end of the War of 1812, the Maumee Valley became open to settlement. John Pray arrived in 1817, built a dam to run a mill, and the site became known as Pray''s Falls. By 1831, Pray had platted the first 50 lots and called it Waterville. Others were attracted to the area, and the trading post inn that Pray had constructed in 1828 was greatly enlarged in 1837. The Columbian House became an important stop on the stagecoach run between Fort Wayne and Detroit and the social center of the village. In 1843, when the Miami and Erie Canal opened through Waterville, there was an economic boom. The business center of town moved from Main Street (River Road) to Third Street, and the town was incorporated in 1882.

After founding a Food Ministry in 1987, and serving as the director, counselor and teacher for sixteen years I found that people, Christian people do not know much about the Bible, I have been studying the scriptures for twenty-five years. My life was nothing to be proud of, but when the Holy Spirit drew me to Jesus and I ask Him to be Lord of my life, that I wanted the best He has for me, and I would give Him the best I could give. I want my Christian brethren to know all He died for us is ours, for He loves us. We counseled with the people and showed them through the bible how Jesus could meet their needs, Then we gave them food, good food that they could make a good meals from, as time passed I did not see that the people were gaining much to change their lives, and Jesus was teaching me more about the Kingdom of Heaven here on earth . It does not penetrate the people''s heart that we can have heaven here on earth, because the Preachers and Teachers do not know how to live in heaven here on earth. You need to know how to live in the Spirit and not in the world; the kingdom of heaven is a spiritual place. Galatians, 4:16, This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. V-17, For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary the one to the other, so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. V-18, But if ye be led of the Spirit, Ye are not under the law. I do not mean to go round saying praise the Lord or hallelujah, all over the place, I mean to make your home a heavenly place to live, love your neighbor, love thy God, do good to others get all the unforgiveness out of your heart, ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins. This is the reason for this book and other books to come. There is no reason for people to go to hell, when the kingdom of heaven is in you. My intended reader is all-Christians, that are confused about the bible. and the unsaved. Ephesians, 6:19, And for me, that utterance mat be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, V-20 which I am an ambassador in bonds; that therein I may speak boldly, as I ough to speak. "WILLIAM ROSE (1885-1968) learned the Polish language and became an enthusiast of Polish culture under unusual circumstances; at the outbreak of the First World War the young scholar from Minnedosa, Manitoba, found himself trapped in Europe behind enemy line. He was restricted to the village of Ligotka in Silesia. In the last days of the war he made a dramatic escape to Paris and attended the Paris Peace Conference as a representative of nationalist groups in Poland. After the war he returned to Poland to help organize the YMCA movement and was very active in other social work. He took his doctorate in 1926 at Cracow University.By 1928, when he returned to North America to teach, he was a well-known specialist on Poland. He began teaching at Dartmouth College, NH, and in 1935 was invited to the University of London’s School of Slavonic Studies, which he headed from 1939 to 1950. On his retirement he returned to Canada, helped to establish the Department of Slavonic Studies at the University of British Columbia, and was elected the first honourary president of the Canadian Association of Slavists in 1955.Professor Rose’s recollections of those parts of his varied and interesting career which deal with Central Europe and Slavonic Studies are gathered together in this book. This is a controversial book. It is a critical account of the historical, political and cultural roots of Zionism. John Rose shows how this powerful political force is based in mythology; ancient, medieval and modern. Many of these stories, as with other mythologies, have no basis in fact. However, because Zionism is a living political force, these myths have been used to justify very real and political ends -- namely, the expulsion and continuing persecution of the Palestinians. Chapter-by-chapter, John Rose scrutinises the roots of the myths of Zionism. Mobilising recent scholarship, he separates fact from fiction presenting a detailed analysis of their origins and development. This includes a challenge to Zionism''s biblical claims using very recent and very startling Israeli archaeological conclusions. He provides a detailed exploration of Judaism''s links to the Middle East. He shows clearly that Zionism makes many false claims on Jewish religion and history. He questions its rationale as a response to European anti-Semitism, and shows that, if there is ever to be peace and reconciliation in the land of Palestine, this intellectual dishonesty must be addressed.
