Carl Johan August Jonsson was born 24 March 1851 in Sweden. He married Kristina Sophia Johannesdötter (1853-1923), daughter of Johann Peter Nilsson and Anna Cathrina Svensdötter, 23 November 1874 in Lemnhult, Småland, Sweden. They had thirteen children.
