This study examines life in a corporation as cultural performance. This work has been an opportunity to engage in critical interpretation of employee experiences with corporate culture change through participant observation. It offers valuable insight into labor and management concerns over organizational stability and socialization within a context of a rapidly changing global economy. The methodology of this research is interdisciplinary, applying performance theory and organizational behavior/institutional theory to a masked case study of a United States-based corporation which engaged in its own culture change to improve its economic bottom-line. This study also reveals how the corporate employees' perspectives on affiliation, quality, and good corporate citizenship are inscribed and represented within daily performances of organizational life. Although the organizational members' goals were economically and quantitatively driven, their processes were most definitely qualitatively aesthetic and embodied through performance. By mobilizing a decentralized participatory change process, corporate leaders invited employees' new approaches to problem solving which helped yield significant economic and organizational benefits. This work will be of interest to scholars of performance, cultural studies, and organizational behavior.

This book is a compilation of wisdom from the members of Hope Network Ministries. Think of it as both an introduction and an invitation. It's an introduction to the practical nature of what Hope Network does. Each chapter is written by someone in the trenches who both understands the challenges of contemporary ministry and has experience in navigating them.It's also an invitation to reach out to any of the authors of this volume for deeper conversation. They didn't write their chapters to show off what they know. They wrote them to make you aware of their availability to walk this path with you. Asperger Syndrome (AS) is a disability that is growing in numbers. Teachers are likely to have a student with this disability in their classroom during their career. Kindergarten is the often the first structured school experience and is a crucial year for children. Much research has been done on AS; however, teachers' knowledge of AS has not been fully researched. This study seeks to determine what kindergarten teachers know about AS. The findings come from a survey distributed to kindergarten teachers in a large suburban school district. The survey results were analyzed to determine what kindergarten teachers know. The results indicate that teachers have a moderate knowledge of AS but do not feel confident in their knowledge and feel they need more training.

Total Physical Response (TPR) is a language-teaching method, developed by James Asher in the 1960's. In this critical analysis the theoritical origins of TPR were explored along with the work of James Asher. Twenty-three studies by Asher were examined in conjuction with others who have studied TPR, in order to understand the effectiveness of TPR as both theory and pedagogy. In all studies examined, TPR (which focuses on listening comprehension) was found to be an effective means for producing near perfect retention even long term. TPR was found to be a powerful method for teaching a second lanuage.
