Fido

release date: Dec 17, 2022
Fido
Fido is the third book in the nine book "Asps" series, and 12th of the Jim Scott Books. Old friend Arnold Buchanan (from the Tickleton Affair, the fifth book of the "Janitor" series) invents a new item, which "Bear" puts to good use. The team engages various enemies in Colombia, Costa Rica, Pakistan, Mexico, Libya, and Egypt, with a few stopovers along the way. At times they work with Tony Henry of SIS and with the SAS team they often go to war with. As often is the case, Jim Scott and some of the old Janitors team manage to get involved at times. A skilled team can frequently engage the enemy and, in the process, come up with viable intelligence to lead them to the next engagement...or engagements. While it is no secret the Islamist terrorist movement has made inroads into the drug business, efforts to thwart that effort almost always go unnoticed and unreported. Rest assured that efforts by terrorist organizations to do so are being dealt with on a regular basis.

Birth Of The Asps

release date: Dec 12, 2022
Birth Of The Asps
Birth of the Asps is the first book of a new nine-book Asps series, and the tenth book of Jim Scott Books. The plan hatched by Jim Scott with the outgoing President at the end of the Janitor series comes to fruition a few months into the administration of the new President. Even though the "War on Terror" is declared ''over'' by the new President, the Asps are formed and immediately set out on a mission to uncover an al-Qaida plot on the island nation of Dominica. Drew Hollins'' old friend, "Meat Hook" Calabrese, soon dishes up still another al-Qaida plot that the new team gets involved in. As you will discover, Jim Scott has not exactly "retired." A few of the old Janitors also get involved...for those who thought they might be finished when the Janitors were disbanded. The Asps, the new team formed after the Janitors were disbanded, travels far and wide in search of al-Qaida and other terrorists to destroy. They cover areas east from the United States, as far away as Pakistan, all the way back to areas south of the United States, with several stops along the way. In this book, they start out on a mission to the island nation of Dominica...a quiet, peaceful nation, whose leaders are wont to dally with such nations as China.

The Saltwater Connection

release date: Oct 13, 2022
The Saltwater Connection
With the team now two-plus years into its activities, and the build-up to the beginning of Operation Iraqi Freedom going on, the Janitors embark on a far flung mission to thwart more evil deeds by al-Qaida...and Hamas. In this book, The Saltwater Connection, Janitors Book #6, the line-up of the Janitors--as formed in Baghdad Butcher and refined in Back to Iraq--changes somewhat. We lose one of the members of the team and add three new ones, Dan and Janet Orf from Dog Pound, Toboggan, and The Tickleton Affair, as well as a new character from this book. It is a well-known fact that many of the Islamist Terrorists of various stripes assist others of their ilk whenever possible. In this book, we have al-Qaida and Hamas working together in a white slavery operation...showing again that nothing is too deep a depth for these sickos to engage in.

A Murder...Plus

release date: Jan 20, 2026
A Murder...Plus
In Jim Scott Book #44, A MURDER...PLUS, a very wealthy woman is found dead in her home. Frank Sansone, a Detective Lieutenant of the Utah Department of Public Safety winds up handling the case, after the Park City Utah Chief of Police asks for the states help. In talking to an employee of the dead lady, who found the body, it is soon determined that there are at least three prime suspects, none of whom turned out to be the killer. One of those suspects once had a rather long relationship with Frank, but they hadn''t seen each for over 14 years. When he tracked her down, sparks flew, and they both soon stated they regretted the end of the relationship...problem solved in no time. In one of those strange twists of fate, they go to breakfast together the following day, and on seeing there were no empty tables, were about to leave. But Jim Scott, sitting a table for four with his wife Holly, saw their dilemma, and stood up, and by hand signals invited them to join him and his wife. Before their meals were eaten, Holly took the lady under her wing to help her plan a wedding, and Jim joined Frank in the hunt for the murderer. During the hunt, when Jim and Frank were joined in the hunt by Jim''s longtime friend, Bob Becker, while Bob''s wife Michelle lends a hand to Holly''s project, the body of one of the two thiefs is found, and soon connected to the robbery. It is determined that that man was the one who had done an unthinkable thing to the body of the victim of the murder, after her death. The hunters use that to their advantage as they publicly blame the other thief for the deed of the dead man...the intent being to get inside the still living thief''s head, and cause him to make mistakes. While all this is going on, Holly is having breakfast with her wedding planning partner Michelle and the lady to be married, when she overhears four Chinese men talking at a table nearby. They are speaking in Chinese, and during their conversation switch to a different dialect. This presents no problem for Holly, as she understands all of the Chinese dialects. Thus she is able to determine what the men are planning. After relaying that information to Jim, he dispatches Bob and Michelle to deal with the situation. Along the way of the hunt for the living thief, two other terrorists decide they want to end their association with the terrorist movement, and Jim winds up helping them on a new life path. Also, during that time, at a loss for how to find the man they seek, Jim decides to set up Frank and an FBI friend of his as targets for the thief and murderer, so the hunted becomes a hunter. During the hunt, another romance unfolds, and Holly and Michelle have another wedding to plan, though that one takes longer to happen. Holly by then is recovered from a serious fall she took while trying to learn how to ski. Also during the investigation two men at least in part responsible for the murder are dealt with in different, but similar fashion.
