The Limits of Faith

release date: Nov 01, 2008
The Limits of Faith
Is faith belief in something without proof? And if so is there never to be any proof or discovery? If so what is the need of intellect? If faith is trust in something that is real is that reality historical, literal or metaphorical or philosophical? If knowledge is an essential element in faith why should there by so much emphasis on believing and not on understanding in the modern practice of religion? This volume is a compilation of essays related to the nature of religious faith in the context of its inception in human history as well as its meaning for religious practice and relations between religions in modern times. Faith has come to be regarded as a virtuous goal in life. However, many people have asked how can it be that an endeavor that is supposed to be dedicated to spiritual upliftment has led to more conflict in human history than any other social factor?

Egyptian Book of the Dead Hieroglyph Translations Volume 6 Featuring The Osirian Resurrection

release date: Sep 23, 2021
Egyptian Book of the Dead Hieroglyph Translations Volume 6 Featuring The Osirian Resurrection
The aim of this book has been to render, for the first time in one volume, the translated main hieroglyphic texts, associated with the Ancient Egyptian Osirian Resurrection, in the chronological order of the events of the myth and to present a translation that is grounded in the ancient texts, showing where the translated descriptions, wisdom and feelings expressed are coming from in the texts. Myth is a language of the soul by which the Ancient Kemetic (Egyptian) sages created a pathway for a human being to understand the nature of Creation, the powers (Neteru {gods and goddesses}) operating in it, and the manner in which to live a life that leads to happiness, fulfilment and spiritual enlightenment. The text of "Stele of Amenmose" contains references to the main scenes of the myth of the Asarian Resurrection, from the beginning of the myth to the end, but does not go into details related to some of those scenes. So, the text of "Stele of Amenmose" has been used as the foundational text, the trunk, as it were, of a tree. It begins the myth and describes the events of the myth, and as the tree (mythic rendition) grows, the branches extend the scenes not fully covered in the Amenmose scripture. So the contributing texts form expansions of the story which is taken up by another related scripture that goes into those details of hat section. Then, when that branch reaches a conclusion, we will return to the trunk of the tree again, the Stele of Amenmose, to again grow the tree, the mythic journey, until we reach another branch and so on to the end of the myth. As the text is presented, the characters in the myth, which represent aspects of the Divine as well as expressions of the human heart and soul, will be introduced. Then, as the saga unfolds, the reader will be able to identify with the characters and experience their passions, sorrows, victories and spiritual exaltations leading to the final victory of exhilaration and contentment over despondency, depression and frustration, and wisdom over delusion, and eternal mystic life over physical death.

Mental Health & ANCIENT EGYPTIAN PSYCHOLOGY
Discover the world''s earliest documented system of transpersonal psychology-a comprehensive science of consciousness transformation recorded in ancient Egypt over 3,200 years ago. This groundbreaking volume presents Dr. Muata Ashby''s original trilinear hieroglyphic translations of Sage Amenemopet''s sacred Instructions, revealing profound insights into human psychology and systematic methods for achieving both earthly well-being and spiritual enlightenment. The Teachings of Amenemopet constitute a sophisticated psychological framework addressing how consciousness forgets its divine nature and becomes trapped seeking fulfillment through external means. Through verse-by-verse analysis integrating ancient wisdom with contemporary neuroscience research, this work demonstrates how humanity''s oldest wisdom traditions anticipated modern discoveries about consciousness and mental health by millennia. What Makes This Volume Unique: ORIGINAL TRILINEAR TRANSLATIONS: Each verse presented in original hieroglyphics, phonetic transliteration, and contextual interpretation-providing unprecedented access to authentic wisdom while maintaining scholarly precision. COMPREHENSIVE COMMENTARY FRAMEWORK: Twenty-six detailed chapter commentaries examine teachings through five integrated perspectives: Human Psychology Principles, Behavioral Imperatives, Mystic Psychology-Metaphysical Implications, Transpersonal Psychology Research, and Spiritual Implications for Aspirants. THE CONSCIOUSNESS ARCHITECTURE MODEL: Learn the ancient Egyptian understanding of mind levels-Hat (conscious awareness), Ab (unconscious mind containing aryu/karmic patterns), and Kara (divine sanctuary where Ab Neter/soul consciousness resides). This framework explains how transformation operates through removing obstructions to reveal divine consciousness already present within. RESEARCH VALIDATION: Extensive integration of contemporary neuroscience studies validates ancient insights through modern empirical research, demonstrating how 3,200-year-old teachings align with current findings from leading consciousness researchers. PRACTICAL TRANSFORMATION METHODS: Each commentary includes specific practices, meditation techniques, and behavioral modifications addressing modern challenges-transforming reactive patterns, cultivating inner silence, progressing from "heated" agitation to "silent" wisdom consciousness. SPECIAL TOPIC ESSAYS: In-depth explorations of crucial themes including the psychology of frustration, narcissistic consciousness patterns, responding to injury, the discipline of slowness, and the complete pathway from suffering to enlightenment. Who Will Benefit: Students of ancient wisdom traditions, mental health professionals exploring transpersonal psychology, spiritual practitioners wanting systematic transformation methods, scholars researching psychological history, and anyone struggling with chronic dissatisfaction or reactive patterns. The ancient sages taught that genuine well-being emerges through discovering "the fullness of the Creator-Spirit that is within"-the divine consciousness (Ab Neter) sustaining all mental operations yet hidden beneath accumulated karmic patterns. This volume provides the complete philosophical framework, empirical validation, and practical methodology for achieving this recognition, offering guidance as relevant today as when first inscribed in the temples of Kamit. Whether approached as scholarly study, spiritual practice manual, or psychological development guide, readers discover systematic instruction for moving consciousness from identification with temporary mental-emotional fluctuations to recognition of its essential nature as universal divine awareness-the transformation representing complete mental health and enlightenment according to humanity''s most ancient wisdom tradition.

The Cycles of Time
Finances and money are an integral part of Ancient Egyptian culture as an instrument for promoting Maat in the form of the well-being of the ''hekat''. The hekat are the people and the "Heka" is the Pharaoh. The Pharaoh was like a shepherd leading a flock and moneys were controlled righteously to promote the welfare of the people. In that tradition we have applied the philosophy of maatian economics to promote the well-being of those who are officially part of the Temple as well as those who may read the books so they may avoid financial trouble as much as possible and have better capacity to practice the teachings. In order to have a successful life human beings need a certain amount of money and wealth but money and wealth are not the goal. They are a foundation that enables the true goal of life, enlightenment, to be realized. Therefore, we are only fulfilling the duty of transmitting wisdom about wealth to promote righteousness, truth and well-being for all. This volume explores the mysteries of wealth based on the teachings of the sages of Ancient Egypt and the means to promote prosperity that allows a person to create the conditions for discovering inner peace and spiritual enlightenment.
