WE Part 1

release date: Jul 28, 2021
WE Part 1
WE (Walter and Elizabeth) is a collection of letters from Walter starting in 2003 from a man in prison written to a mail order art book company asking for damaged art books. First they''re an innocent request by a very imaginative person asking for free art books. A short note was sent back telling him we could not do that and signed my name. I was that customer service person who answered his letter. Walter then wrote to my name thanking me for answering his request because no other mail order company had answered before. That started into a pen-friend relationship. Then into true friendship and now into a true love story that continues to this day. The main ingredients are humour, imagination and a look at one''s humanity in a nearly impossible situation imposed by the current Texas, criminal justice system. It is a true, true story. Walter is my "idiot savant". His unique way of explaining his life behind bars along with his constant fight with the Texas court system to prove his actual innocence. The writing of WE is a true labour of love and love and God blessed. I love writing this because of who Walter has become in my life and me into his. Neither one of us are younger than 50+ so this will be our last hurrah and we''re making each day count by loving each other. Elizabeth (Liz) was born in Kintbury, Berkshire, England. Her family immigrated to America with an American family with plans to start a fish and ship franchise, which unfortunately didn''t happen which was a shame because it would have been great. Liz and Walter currently live in Grass Valley California where her grandchildren live. Liz loves volunteering at Sammie''s Friends Thrift store 4 days a week and gardening.
