The BIG Metric Ninja Foodi Cookbook - Black and White Edition

release date: Jan 26, 2021
The BIG Metric Ninja Foodi Cookbook - Black and White Edition
The Ninja Foodi from Shark Ninja is an incredibly versatile device and the cooking possibilities are endless. Many recipe books already exist for this device but none of them seem to cater for the British, Australian or European markets... until now that is. Gone are the 1/2 cup measurements and converting temperatures from Fahrenheit. This book uses British tablespoons, teaspoons, grams and millilitres as well as the celsius scale. The ingredients have all been checked against online supermarkets such as Asda and Tesco, all proved to be available. Since the device is so versatile BUT is just one device, recipes are split between main courses, main course components, side dishes, soups and desserts, meaning that access to a kitchen is required for many of the recipes. The Author assumes that the user has access to basic kitchen equipment, such as a refrigerator, a sieve or colander, sharp knives, a stove, a baking tin, a frying pan and saucepans, although many of the recipes do not require any further equipment. Many of the recipes found within will be more familiar to the user of this cookbook, but they have been tweaked or reimagined so that they fit to the Ninja Foodi 7-in1 multi-cooker and many recipes will be completely new. Many recipes also include full colour photographs. An index of ingredients is also at the end of the book, making it easier to locate recipes based on what''s in your refrigerator. Please note that this version of the book has only black and white photographs. The full-colour version of the book is also available.

Ultrasonic Wave Propagation in Thick, Layered Composites Containing Degraded Interfaces

Ultrasonic Wave Propagation in Thick, Layered Composites Containing Degraded Interfaces
The ultrasonic wave propagation of thick, layered composites containing degraded bonds is investigated. A theoretical one-dimensional model of three attenuative viscoelastic layers containing two imperfect interfaces is introduced. Elastic material properties and measured ''values of ultrasonic phase velocity and attenuation are used to represent E-glass and vinyl ester resin fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) laminate, syntactic foam, and resin putty materials in the model. The ultrasonic phase velocity in all three materials is shown to be essentially constant in the range of 1.0 to 5.0 megahertz (MHz). The attenuation in all three materials is constant or slightly increasing in the range 1.0 to 3.0 MHz. Numerical simulation of the model via the mass- spring-dashpot lattice model reveals the importance of the input signal shape, wave speed, and layer thickness on obtaining non-overlapping, distinct return signals in pulse-echo ultrasonic nondestructive evaluation. The effect of the interface contact quality on the reflection and transmission coefficients of degraded interfaces is observed in both the simulated and theoretical results.

Discovering Chile

release date: Jan 01, 2015
Discovering Chile
The nation of Chile means different things to different people. As Chile progresses as one of Latin America''s most stable emerging democracies, its reputation abroad is becoming all the more important in fostering further growth. How do the arts and culture contribute to this reputation formation, and what can Chile do with this continually in-flux perception? Through analysis of current research on the ingredients and applications of a national reputation utilizing arts and culture, this research poses a framework with which the nation of Chile is examined. Empirical observation is combined with data obtained from in-person interviews to gain multiple perspectives on an increasingly popular issue within the country. Findings indicate that Chile''s international reputation not only comes from sending its artists abroad on official and unofficial visits and exchanges, but also includes a number of domestic undertakings that form the cultural base Chile may draw from in molding its name. However, these tasks are not without its own set of unique challenges pertinent to the country''s distinctive geopolitical position and history. By operating within the established framework aimed at capturing the breadth of activity occurring within and outside of Chile, conclusions are surmised that may inform effective practices for governments, organizations, and artists in contributing to a nation''s reputation through its most constant and identifiable asset -- its culture.
