This Omnibus represents them all, and it will make your head spin. There are poets’ poets and people’s poets. And then there are those few who are neither and both: the few who become, over time, part of the warp and weft of their culture. From Here to There
When you look in the mirror, what do you see: a person who truly believes he/she is on the right path, or one struggling daily to find a sense of identity? More importantly, how do you see God as you seek the purpose for your life: as your back pocket Lord, or as your personal guide? For some, they may feel they are on the right path but have drifted away from discerning and understanding God’s will for them. This inspired pastor and author Dennis Lee to establish a meaningful resource for readers wanting to grow in their relationship with God, in his new Christian discipleship book; From Here to There: A Journey to Spiritual Transformation, part of his Spiritual Formation series. As an “A through Z roadmap on discipleship,” Dennis offers readers a biblically-sound guide to familiarize readers to biblical principles of what it’s like to be a follower of Jesus Christ, being found in His likeness. Each chapter clarifies this developing relationship with God, established when you accept Jesus as your Savior and Lord, and furthered through changing how you approach living this life in Christ. Pastor Lee takes the reader along this narrow road described by Jesus, looking at a Christian’s true identity when pursuing God’s presence and becoming aligned with His will. To make sure his readers’ stay upon this path, Lee looks at Satan’s potholes that damages a person’s spiritual transformation, as well as God’s speed bumps to help believers slow down and not miss God’s promises for their lives. It’s a journey to the ultimate destination of Heaven with God, and this guide will help you make the necessary changes and take the required steps to stay upon God’s path.

Wells of Living Waters

release date: Dec 06, 2018
Wells of Living Waters
Before the church can arise and shake the world for the Lord, it must bring back the truth of God''s Word. The church needs to make the declaration to "Tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help us God." Wells of Living Waters is a message of the Holy Spirit for the church to remain strongly rooted in the foundational truths inherent in God''s Word. Its purpose is to bring back those foundational teachings that Satan has been trying to stop or cover over within the church. In its desire to stay current and culturally relevant, the church has left behind some of the great biblical teachings in order not to offend those who attend. In the process, however, the church has dug all these new wells of teaching only to find many of them dry or worse, filled with poisonous water. Instead of trying to come up with all these new culturally relevant teachings, the church needs to go back and reopen those foundational truths where the true living waters of God''s word can be found that has brought life and revival to millions. In Jeremiah 6:16, the Lord said, "Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; then you will find rest for your souls." Wells of Living Water deals with the foundational truths of holiness, faithfulness, repentance, the blood of Jesus, judgment, hell, Satan, the person and purpose of the Holy Spirit, the authority of the Scriptures, fasting, and stewardship. This book is soundly based on scriptural authority as well as Pastor Lee''s long-term experience in the discipling of God''s people-to all who seek to bring pure, living water to a thirsty world.

Testament
Testament is the summation of Dennis Lee’s decade-long exploration of the dilemma of contemporary existence. Incorporating and rethinking the work published in Un and Yesno, and featuring many completely new poems, this startling collection reminds us anew of the catastrophic reality we have made of our planet, while simultaneously insisting on a particular kind of hope for our future. Testament continues Lee’s radical and inventive use of language, shaping the familiar into the shockingly new. It is a landmark achievement, and a fitting end to one of the most ambitious projects in Canadian poetry.

The Eyes of the Comet

release date: Aug 03, 2015
The Eyes of the Comet
The Eyes of the Comet - An American Slave Odyssey is a "highly charged" historical novel whose time has finally arrived. The story captures the "vibrancy" of the South during the ante-bellum period. An exciting adventure, packed with all the intrigue and passion necessary to fill the reader''s imagination, the book represents a carefully researched compilation of material woven into various "themes and connections," which provide us with a fresh examination of the era. Scenes throughout the novel are based on careful research and simply not manufactured, which addresses the old adage that "the truth can be stranger than fiction." Uniqueness abounds since historical novels devoted to this epoch are in such short supply. Couple this with the significant theme, which resonates throughout the story that slavery was in fact an "all-American" institution and not simply confined to the South. In fact, in attempting to seek out the truth behind the institution of slavery, several chapters are exclusively centered in the North. This treatment provides us with a complete examination of the times, which has been largely absent in other writings. In addition, the implementation of a "writer''s tool"--the inclusion of a futuristic dream scene, which projects into the Civil War provides for a significant theme - the Civil War was preventable. Unfortunately, during the antebellum period, the elements of greed and power contained in the hands of a few, made it extremely difficult to see just how fractured the lines of communication between the North and the South had become. All of these elements eventually culminated into the Civil War. Understanding the unfettered truth of racism during the ante-bellum period requires what many African-Americans have long felt--the pernicious tentacles of racism run far and wide, which means our entire nation needs to "come full circle" in understanding the depth of this evil and how it can finally be ended.

The Demon of the Southwest Wind
The Demon of the Southwest Wind is a true story. In the course of the investigation, the author finds startling new facts about the case, the killer, and himself. The motive for the crimes seems drawn from fantasy, but it was the Zodiac''s fantasy that was drawn from reality. The Demon of the Southwest Wind is highly readable and solidly researched, full of new information and insights. You may think you know about the Zodiac crimes, but you do not. No one has really understood the Zodiac Killer, until now. Read it like a novel, but know it is the truth.

Riffs

release date: Jan 01, 2015
Riffs
"On the occasion of the publisher''s 40th anniversary, Brick Books presents this new edition of Dennis Lee''s pivotal mid-career classic ... Riffs is a story of a passionate love affair, told in vintage Lee style - with whoops, deep chords, and headlong improvisational arcs. We hear Bach, Bo Diddley, Bird; the news is heartache and being. Celebratory, claustrophobic, the poem tracks ways in which eros and our lives are made mutually accountable."--Provided by publisher.
