Mommy Thinks I'm Yummy, תינוק מתוק של אמא

release date: Jul 22, 2023
Mommy Thinks I'm Yummy, תינוק מתוק של אמא
Real-life issue/Imaginary Tale - Great Lesson! English Hebrew Bilingual Book - ספר ילדים דו לשוני ♥ Mommy Thinks I'm Yummy ♥ When I was young, still in daycare, my mom would joke and give me a scare. She'd ask for a bite because I was sweet, she thought it was funny to nibble my feet. Even my tushy, but I said she could not, I need it to sit, I need it quite a lot. So, I decided I'd make things very clear, I wrote a book about it - it's right here! ◆★◆★ I believe that every mom knows that feeling, that she has to, just has to, take a bite of that little nose of her own private toddler. However, sometimes we forget that toddlers don't always get the humorous tone, and take things literally, so, when we tell our darlings we want to take a bite of their nose, we see a scared look in their eyes. That's exactly where Sigal Adler takes us in her new book, Mommy Thinks I'm Yummy. It is Sigal's intention to explain, in her book, that it's only a game, a figure of speech, and no more. The book is humorously written, and it describes a bedtime dialogue between a mother and her son. The mother tries her best to convince her son to give her just a small bite of his ear, bum or hand, doesn't matter which part, as long as he gives her some, and the boy gives amusing explanations, as to why he simply can't, and why every body part is important.

The Warm-Hearted Snowman

The Warm-Hearted Snowman
The Warm-Hearted Snowman We all know there's magic that comes once a year, When it snows and we know that Christmas Story, In one tiny village, all glowing with light, A very grand snowman stood guard day and night. The children all waited throughout the whole year And when the snow fell, they'd give a great cheer, Building the snowman with love and with pride, Then waving goodbye and darting inside. ** children's books author, Sigal Adler, just keeps adding to her now a rather impressive number of books for children. Each of her books was written in Hebrew and as they became best sellers in Israel she decided to have them translated into English to benefit an even broader range of children. As always Sigal's rhyming style is delightful. The stories are not only entertaining but they also carry some subtle messages to those children fortunate enough to read them - or have them read to them. The books are enhanced by one of the top illustrator/artists of the day - Abira Das, always a welcome sight when reading new stories. It is the winter season and what better way to introduce customs from around the world than to have a story about a snowman. Sigal introduces children who build the snowman and the snowman speaks to his creators - especially grateful for his carrot nose. At night the children go to their homes leaning the snowman alone - and one day when the snowman awakens his carrot nose is gone. When the children discover the missing part they give the snowman a new carrot nose. Again at night, the snowman wants to stay awake to assure his nose remains in place. He sees a little bunny. The bunny pleads for a snowman's nose to feed his family who are hungry in the wintertime. In friendship, the snowman gives us his nose - every night! And everyday it is replaced so the food chain remains intact. Until summer - and the snowman of course is no longer. The bunny keeps track of the time and come wintertime again he meets p with his old friend - the new snowman! A fun wintertime story with a solid message beautifully illustrated - and Sigal Adler successfully adds to her repertoire of fine children's books. Grady Harp ** A carrot nose and the spirit of giving This children's book is beautifully illustrated in the spirit of the season, with rolling hills of snow, sparkling snowflakes, and glittering lights, reflecting the images conjured by the writing: In one tiny village, all glowing with light A very grand snowman stood guard day and night. Surrounded by cute children who fit a carrot nose in the middle of its face, the snowman feels deserted when they must leave for the night: But when nighttime fell, the snowman would groan For the children must leave, and he'd be all alone We can all learn from this snowman, from his spirit of giving: When he spots a hungry bunny, he offers his nose to him... How to Sleep with Cowardly Sheep: Counting Sheep - Sleep Book (The Goodnight Monsters Bedtime Books 2)
♥ Counting Sheep To Go To Sleep ♥ That night, the little monster couldn't sleep, too many thoughts - took him with a sweep. The room was dark, he was all alone, it wasn't much fun to be on his own. When he told his parents he couldn't sleep, they suggested he tried counting some sheep. "Just try to relax and all you need to do, is simply count the sheep in front of you." *** Grady HarpTop Contributor: Children's Books HALL OF FAMETOP 500 REVIEWER Israeli children's books author, Sigal Adler, just keeps adding to her now a very impressive number of books for children. Each of her books was written in Hebrew and as they became best sellers in Israel she decided to have them translated into English to benefit an even broader range of children. As always Sigal's rhyming style is delightful. This new book is not only entertaining but also carries messages to those children fortunate enough to read them - or have them read to them. The books are enhanced by the excellent illustrations by Pixel Ink Studio. Those who follow Sigal Adler know that she offers a meaningful commentary about the importance of reading and the use of rhyme to bring the love of reading to play in children who are challenged by reading or discouraged about learning to read. 'Children with dyslexia, for instance, find it much easier to understand words when they rhyme rather than dissecting them into letters and syllables.' In this book, GOOD OR BAD DAY I LOVE YOU ANYWAY, Sigal brings back her lovable little monsters for a fine lesson on emotions. - 'One day, the monster woke with a pout, "Wake up, sleepy!" his mother called out. "I won't ask you again," his mother said. He finally managed to roll out of his bed. The monster started his day on the wrong foot, it was quite unpleasant and made him off-put. Nothing worked out, it was all quite a mess, "What a terrible day!" he said in distress.' And that bad day produces bad behavior, resulting in his mother's having to prod him to complete his chores. But when little monster sees his mother is distressed, he apologizes for being so wrong, asking her if she wanted another kid... to which his mother asks if he'd want another mom...and after a bad day, 'In the end, when all was said and done, their fight was over and love had won.' As always, Sigal's books are a pleasure to read and carry important lessons for children to heed. This is another wonderful children's book, beautifully written in magical rhyme and related with terrific illustrations - Very Highly Recommended. Grady Harp, December 20 Read less

The Grasshopper and the Ant
The Grasshopper and the Ant ********************************* When you work all summer to save up your crumbs You'll have no worries when winter time comes. *** About Aesop's Fables Who was Aesop, and why are his fables famous all over the world? In fact, very little is known about this mysterious Ancient Greek figure. He is thought to have been a slave originally from Africa, but even that isn't known for certain. But his stories, with their talking animals and simple moral lessons, have been popular for thousands of years. They have been translated into almost every language and were among the first books to be printed when the printing press was invented in the 1400s. The most famous Aesop's Fable is probably the story of The Hare and the Tortoise, with its message that "slow and steady wins the race." Children everywhere have grown up loving these delightful short tales, learning and growing through their bond with these timeless classics. I grew up enjoying many of Aesop's fables and I'm excited to share them with you here in my own style, a little more contemporary and told in rhymes to make them fun to read and listen to. I hope you and your kids will love sharing these stories and learning from their messages just as much as I always have.
