Han er medlem av Norsk faglitterær forfatter- og oversetterforening og har i 25 år oversatt rundt 200 bøker fra tysk, engelsk, svensk og dansk. Den nye utgivelsen er en kommentert utgave med omfattende forklaringer og korrigeringer av Hitlers tekst. Dette er skrevet av historiker Anders G. Kjøstvedt som har en doktorgrad i nazibevegelsen i Weimarrepublikkens Berlin. Kjøstvedt har i flere år forsket på nazismen som ideologi, politisk bevegelse og regime. The translation is by Dr James Murphy an Irish journalist. Murphy translated Mein Kampf on request of the German government under the National Socialist Party in 1936 and 1937. Em 1923, depois que os franceses ocuparam a regiao do Ruhr para assegurar o pagamento de indenizacoes de guerra, Hitler dirigiu a intentona conhecida como putsch de Munique. O movimento fracassou e Hitler foi condenado a cinco anos de prisao na fortaleza de Landsberg, embora so tenha cumprido nove meses da pena. No carcere, escreveu o primeiro volume de Mein Kampf (1925-1927; Minha luta), livro de propaganda nazista, no qual expos suas principais ideias: o odio aos judeus, a superioridade da raca ariana representada pelo povo alemao e a predestinacao do lider (Fuhrer) dos alemaes para impor o estado germanico sobre o resto do mundo. Mein Kampf ("My Struggle") is a political manifesto written by Adolf Hitler. It was his only complete book and became the bible of National Socialism in the German Third Reich. It was published in two volumes, which dated 1925 and 1927. By 1939 it had sold 5,200,000 copies and had been translated into 11 different languages. The first volume, entitled Die Abrechnung ("The Settlement of Accounts," or "Revenge"), was written in 1924 in the Bavarian fortress of Landsberg am Lech. Hitler was imprisoned there after the unsuccessful Beer Hall Putsch of 1923. It describes the world of Hitlers youth, the First World War and the betrayal of Germany in 1918. It also expresses Hitlers Racial ideology. According to Hitler, it was necessary for Germans to occupy themselves not merely with the breeding of cats, dogs and horses - but also care for the health and wellbeing of their own Bloodline. The second volume, entitled Die Nationalsozialistische Bewegung ("The National Socialist Movement"), was written after Hitlers release from prison in December 1924. It outlines the political program of National Socialism and includes the measures that National Socialism must pursue in both gaining power and in exercising it thereafter in the new German Reich. In this book Hitler describes an ideology which according to him must shake the world from its slumber. An ideology which is based on the Eternal Laws of Nature. Here you can notice how the foundations of Social Darwinism have been applied in practice. Mi lucha (en alemán: Mein Kampf) es un libro escrito por Adolf Hitler, combinando elementos autobiográficos con una exposición de ideas propias de la ideología política del nacionalsocialismo. La primera edición fue lanzada el 18 de julio de 1925. El libro perfila las ideas principales que el régimen alemán llevaría a término durante su gobierno. Especialmente prominente es el amor al pueblo alemán de Hitler, aceptando entre otras teorías Los protocolos de los sabios de Sion. Por ejemplo, denunciaba que el esperanto era parte de un complot judío, y argumenta sobre la vieja idea nacionalista alemana de Drang nach Osten: (''Incentiva hacia el Este'') la necesidad de ganar Lebensraum (''espacio vital'') hacia el Este, especialmente en Rusia. Hitler empleaba las tesis principales del «peligro judío», que hablaba de una conspiración judía para ganar el liderazgo mundial.
