Little Salvi loves to run barefoot on the beach, rolling his hoop. One day as he plays along the shore, he spies a key gleaming in the water. Idly picking it up, he never dreams that the key opens the door to a strange and fantastical world where elephants have legs like giraffes, clocks melt like cheese left in the sun, and rowboats fly. Weaving Salvador Dali's most famous motifs into an imaginative story, this charming picture book reflects the limitless possibilities of the Surrealist vision and serves as a great reminder that fine art needn't be stuffy and boring.
