Rebel
What if living boldly for Christ meant breaking the rules of this world? Are you ready to follow Jesus like never before as you to chase Him boldly and fearlessly? It''s time to answer your call to an unshakable faith and a greater purpose. Jesus didn''t follow the crowd—He challenged the status quo, broke through barriers, and chose love over comfort, even when it meant standing alone. As His followers, we''re called to walk that same courageous path: to stand out, love boldly, and embrace a faith that isn''t afraid to shake things up for what matters. Rebel isn''t a book about rebellion for rebellion''s sake—it''s a practical guide for stepping out of the shadows and living boldly for Christ, especially when the world doesn''t understand or even pushes back. Whether you''re just beginning your faith journey or have traveled it for years, GRAMMY-nominated singer and bestselling author Anne Wilson invites you to rebel against fear, doubt, and everything that keeps you from the fullness of Christ. You''ll be inspired to: Follow Jesus by standing out, not blending in. Stay strong through opposition and ridicule. Choose obedience and passion in everyday moments. Step past your comfort zone and shine your faith. Pursue greater adventures with Jesus by your side. Each chapter starts with a story from Scripture, where Jesus broke boundaries to reach the forgotten and the lost. Anne candidly shares her own struggles and victories, urging you to break the mold and find real freedom in following Jesus, no matter the challenge. Anne''s hit song REBEL inspired millions to break free from the ordinary and pursue something greater. Now, her book goes deeper, showing you how to walk fearlessly with Jesus every day.

Unity between Horse and Rider

release date: Feb 04, 2025
Unity between Horse and Rider
Many riders and horse owners are looking for a kinder, more ethical way of interacting with their horses, to fulfil the requirements of the modern Social Licence to Operate but also to enhance their relationship with their animal. In this book, author and expert rider Anne Wilson demonstrates that we need look no further than the teachings of the great classical riding masters, past and present. Classical teachings are often misunderstood today. This in-depth book on classical principles aims to rectify that, enlightening the reader on techniques which will enhance their own enjoyment as well as that of their horses. Wilson provides a wealth of ‘how-to’ information, via down-to-earth language and detailed imagery, which will enable readers to put the principles into effect. She throws light on hitherto much misunderstood aspects of horse training, showing that when these principles are employed correctly, the rider or trainer will experience an incomparable feeling of being at one with their horse. Perhaps most importantly, this book will help your horse enjoy ‘dancing’ with his or her rider, enhancing their physical and mental well-being, as well as their likely longevity. Unity between Horse and Rider: Classical Training for the Benefit of Both will be of great benefit to riders in any discipline who have basic knowledge and skills but wish to learn a more ethical, fulfilling way of training and riding. For riders, riding professionals, students and trainers, classical riding is the key to a happy life for horse and human alike.

Who are we to ignore what they have taught us about the form or process of teaching as well as the content? In this world of overloaded focus on content, perhaps it is the awareness of changing form and process that will ultimately save us as a species and a planet. Who knows? Certainly we can leave no stone unturned in our quest to heal and grow personally, as a society, and as a planet. We need all the help we can get. Schaef is well-experienced in the world of living life, observing, and participating with others as we all attempt to bumble along together. This is a warning before you begin to read.

Children at the Border

release date: May 29, 2021
Children at the Border
The Trump administration violated the rights of migrant children who fled brutal violence in the Northern Triangle of Central America. Their rights are human rights. This book explores the administration''s policies and practices of family separation at the U.S. southern border and its confinement of migrant children that, in some cases, experts describe as torture. Specific connections are made between harmful actions on the part of government officials and agencies, and provisions that protect against them in The Convention on the Rights of the Child and four other UN conventions. Awareness of the violations and the safeguards afforded to children may help preserve children''s human rights. The book also examines efforts of humanitarian organizations, courts, and legislators to reclaim and defend migrant children''s rights. The author''s research includes information from international and national government documents, news reports, and interviews and stories that resulted from networking with advocates in both Arizona and Mexico. The young asylum seekers were called "criminals" and "not-innocent" by the President. However, his narrative is contradicted by vignettes that describe children''s own experiences and beliefs and by photographs of them taken by advocates in Arizona and by the author in shelters in Mexico where families await asylum.

Daily Reminders for Living a New Paradigm

release date: Jan 01, 2017
Daily Reminders for Living a New Paradigm
We spend a lot of time thinking about how to better ourselves: our bodies and minds, our lives, our world. It''s a natural human inclination. At this point in human history, though, we could use some help. The societies we''ve created are increasingly destructive, not only to themselves but to the planet. We need a new paradigm--and a way to live it.The journey to a new way of living requires faith, because we can''t see where it will lead. However, we''re better equipped for this journey than we realize. Anne Wilson Schaef suggests that deep within ourselves--in our cells, in our ancestral blood, in our archaic souls--we have the ancient knowledge we need to find our way. We simply need to remember what we know. In this book, Dr. Schaef uses 30 themes to build cycles of "reminders" that expand and deepen over the course of the year. Through insightful reflections on themes including the Reminder that All Is Process and In Process, while Stressing the Importance of Honesty, Exploring Our Beliefs and Assumptions, Accepting Our Humanness, and Walking in Beauty, we broaden our perspective and open our minds so we can live more fully.

Native Wisdom for White Minds

release date: Aug 14, 2013
Native Wisdom for White Minds
You don''t have to be white to have a white mind. What is a white mind? As Anne Wilson Schaef learned during her travels throughout the world among Native Peoples, anyone raised in modern Western society or by Western culture can have a white mind. White minds are trapped in a closed system of thinking that sees life in black and white, either/or terms; they are hierarchical and mechanistic; they see nature as a force to be tamed and people as objects to be controlled with no regard for the future. This worldview is not shared by most Native Peoples, and in this provocative book, Anne Wilson Schaef shares the richness poured out to her by Native Americans, Aborigines, Africans, Maoris, and others. In the words of Native Peoples themselves, we come to understand Native ideas about our earth, spirituality, family, work, loneliness, and change. For in every area of our lives we have the capacity to transcend our white minds--we simply need to listen with open hearts and open minds to other voices, other perceptions, other cultures. Anne Wilson Schaef often heard Elders from a wide variety of Native Peoples say, "Our legends tell us that a time will come when our wisdom and way of living will be necessary to save the planet, and that time is now." Anyone ready to move from feeling separate to a profound sense of connectedness, from the personal to the global, will find the path in this mind-expanding, deeply spiritual book.

Productivity or Employment

Productivity or Employment
Traditionally, shocks to total factor productivity (TFP) are considered exogenous and the employment response depends on their effect on aggregate demand. We raise the possibility that in response to labor supply shocks firms adjust efficiency, rendering TFP endogenous to firms’ production decisions. We present robust cross-country evidence of a strong negative correlation between growth in TFP and labor inputs over the medium to long run. In addition, when using instruments to capture changes in hours worked that are independent of TFP shocks, we find that cross-country increases in labor input cause reductions in TFP growth. These results have important policy implications, including that low productivity growth in some countries may partly be a side effect of strong labor market performance. By the same token, countries facing a declining workforce, say, because of aging, may see accelerating TFP as firms find better ways of employing workers.
