These are weekly Sunday sermons for the first half of the liturgical year, Series B. They follow the ILCW (Inter Lutheran Commission on Worship) pericopes with a few changes suggested by Christian Worship: A Lutheran Hymnal (1993). These sermons may be read for personal meditation or as a commentary on the text. Small groups or house churches may find them very useful as well. They might also be used in "lay-led" worship services when a qualified pastor is not present to write and preach a sermon of his own. "This study aims to instigate serious consideration of the effects that an environment overly saturated with advertising may have on human beings. The research and subsequent ideology are presented in a creative non-fiction format that includes both quantitative figures and factual information imbedded in contemplative prose. After a brief introduction, the writing is divided into five sections that discuss concerns regarding advertising that arose during and were developed after a six-month observation and research period.
