A Mathematician''s Apology is the famous essay by British mathematician G. H. Hardy. It is an attempt to justify and explain, pure mathematics. One of the main themes of the book is the beauty that mathematics possesses, which Hardy compares to painting and poetry. G. H. Hardy (7 Feb 1877 - 1 Dec 1947) was an eccentric British mathematician who worked extensively in mathematical analysis and analytical number theory alongside J.E Littlewood. He is perhaps even better known for his adoption and mentoring of the self-taught Indian mathematical genius, Srinivasa Ramanujan. Hardy wanted his work to be referred to as pure mathematics rather than applied mathematics. In his view, mathematics was not something to be used in social destruction and to fulfill political purposes.

IN THE SOLUTION TREATED AND AGED CONDITION, Ti4Al-3Mo-1V has a higher ultimate strength than does Ti-2.5Al-16V, but the two alloys are about even in yield strength and elongation. In the solution-treated condition, Ti-4Al-3Mo-1V is unquestionably stronger than Ti-2.5Al-16V. These conclusions are independent of producer. There is not much difference in the same alloy produced by different companies. The alloys developed under the Titanium-Alloy Sheet-Rolling Program would not endure the most critical interpretation of release property specifications. On the other hand, these alloys come reasonably close to specifications. A complete set of release property specifications is available only for specimens that have been solution treated and aged. Such specimens do not all exhibit the desired ultimate and yield strength, but the percentage of rejects is small enough to be encouraging. (Author).

Thomas very poignantly portrays a person fighting for his life in his affliction with an overeating disorder. his readers will discover aspects of this acute health problem that they never thought about as well as how it affects the sufferer''s psyche. That the agape love, to which everyone should aspire, will provide the path for the victim to move on toward overcoming this disorder is also movingly described.
