Sara thought about that question, and a few more like it: Were they going somewhere? Were they trying to get away from some place, or some person? Did they just want to take a train ride? There was nobody around who could answer those questions. So Sara made up her own answers, and wrote this funny little book in order to explain Turkeys on the Train.
