See It, Hear It, Say It
See It, Hear It, Say It is a playful speech sound book designed to support early articulation development through repetition, modeling, and story-based learning. Written by licensed Speech-Language Pathologists, the book focuses on consonant sounds that are typically mastered by around age three. As children follow the farm adventure, they hear these early sounds repeated in simple, engaging words that help build sound awareness and clear speech. The story is designed for all young children, including families who simply want to give their child a head start in developing strong communication skills. Helpful parent pages provide reading tips, a speech sound development chart, and a QR code linking to a short video demonstrating how to model the sounds. Through playful storytelling and intentional sound exposure, See It, Hear It, Say It makes practicing early speech sounds feel natural, interactive, and fun.

Stop, Go, More

release date: Mar 02, 2026
Stop, Go, More
Stop, Go, More is an early language picture book designed to support toddlers'' communication development through high-frequency core words and intentional gesture use. Before children use spoken words, they communicate through gestures, movement, and shared attention. Core words, small but powerful words used every day, make up approximately 60%-80% of what we say. This book introduces foundational core words such as stop, go, and more in simple, repetitive contexts that encourage participation, imitation, and early language growth. Each target word is paired with a clear visual representation and corresponding gesture, reinforcing comprehension through movement and modeling. By combining spoken language with gesture, the book supports natural communication development in a way that feels accessible and practical for families. Written by licensed speech-language pathologists, Stop, Go, More is designed to be interactive, predictable, and developmentally appropriate for young children. The structure encourages repetition, engagement, and shared reading experiences that build both connection and communication skills. Part of the Lil'' Bits of Language series, this book offers families a simple, research-informed way to strengthen early communication without adding extra work to their daily routines.

release date: Jan 01, 2016
Quantitative Analysis of Social Worker Perceptions about Employee Safety in the Child Welfare Environment
This exploratory study helps highlight the trend of violence directed towards Children''s Social Workers (CSW). This research also aims to tie previous research conducted about the safety concerns of social workers in various fields; such as mental health, to the perceptions of CSWs. Harris and Reynolds (2003), note that the aggressive behaviors clients have constitute an additional source of stress for the workers and negatively influences them on different levels, ranging from burnout and stress disorders to personal and property damage. When looking at the types of dangers present in the social work field, it becomes imperative to give social workers an active role in determining security procedures that will help them with safety concerns at their given agencies. This research focuses on CSWs perceptions about safety at Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS), located in the Lancaster office. CSWs at DCFS, located in the Lancaster office, are questioned about their feelings and perceptions regarding safety and security during field visits and within their given agency via a voluntary, anonymous twenty-two Likert Scale questionnaire.
