This book is intended as an aid to believers in developing a daily time of morning revival with the Lord in His word. At the same time, it provides a limited review of the Memorial Day weekend conference held May 22-25, 2020. The general subject of the conference was “A Timely Word concerning the World Situation and the Lord’s Recovery.” Through intimate contact with the Lord in His word, the believers can be constituted with life and truth and thereby equipped to prophesy in the meetings of the church unto the building up of the Body of Christ.

“The exercise of our spirit is for godliness, which is the manifestation of God in the flesh. God is Christ, who is in our spirit, so we need to deal with our spirit. Our spirit must be a spirit of a subdued and submissive will, of a properly exercised emotion, and of a clear, sound, and sober mind. This exercise also requires a good, pure, and single heart, one that seeks only the Lord Himself, and it requires love and faith. All these matters are the preparation for our exercise of the spirit.”

In September of 1964, Witness Lee gave a series of messages related to migrating for the spread of the Lord’s recovery. In these messages he fellowshipped regarding many things, including our need to be released from traditional concepts we may have received from Christianity, principles regarding how to migrate to another place, building up the local churches in the way of life, the training that is needed for the building up of the Body of Christ, and our need to see God’s economy. “I have a deep burden for the Lord’s testimony in the United States. Although I still have a responsibility to the work in the Far East, I am confident that the Lord wants me to be here. My heart and every drop of my blood are absolutely for the Lord’s testimony here. I will do whatever I can by the Lord’s mercy to give you what I have learned of the Lord, but all I can do is help. The responsibility is on your shoulders. I hope that a number of you will be strengthened by the grace of God to rise up and take up your responsibility for God’s purpose.”

In the eldership there should be no pride, no thought of being a hero, and no opinions. These three factors work secretly to frustrate and damage the Body of Christ, and we all need to be warned against them. Instead, in the eldership there should be only truth, the Spirit, Christ, and the church, the Body of Christ. To be those who are in the practicality of the Body, we first need to keep the oneness of the Body. To keep the oneness of the Body is actually to keep the oneness of the Spirit because the Spirit is the reality and the essence of the Body. In addition to keeping the oneness of the Body, we need to maintain a good order in the Body. To keep a pleasant, good, and beautiful order, we need to be subject to one another in the fear of Christ. “Then we will keep the one accord without criticizing, without despising, and without opposing. We should respect one another, help one another, perfect one another in life, and complete one another in work. We should never despise or criticize others. Instead, we should always receive help from others and return help to them…If we take this way, we will be greatly blessed by the Lord’s dear, sweet presence.”

Throughout the past centuries, many matters concerning the Christian life and church life were lost in the degradation of the church. Therefore, today the Lord desires to have a recovery. This recovery includes fruit-bearing. A proper Christian life is a fruit-bearing life, because we are the branches of the vine (John 15:5). God''s operation in the universe is with His vine, and we are all the branches of this vine. The normal life of the branches is nothing other than to bear fruit. Whatever else a branch on a vine can do means nothing. In actuality, branches can do nothing but bear fruit. Therefore, to bear fruit is the normal living of the branches of the vine.
