My Memories of the Baltimore Police Department from Behind the Bad

release date: Feb 25, 2022
My Memories of the Baltimore Police Department from Behind the Bad
This book contains over 500 pages of my memories of the Baltimore Police Department while I was a member. The primary content source is Baltimore Police Department Newsletters and information from the Police Museum Website. There are hundreds of pictures and articles from the Newsletters. Some of the pictures are not as clear as I would like, but I did the best I could. I included many articles as written, and I made no changes. Some were re-written, but I did not change the content. The book chapters are in chronological order beginning with 1968 and concluding with 1992. The reader will see how many procedures and processes evolved through the years. The book highlights many advancements in equipment and tactics, as will many of the personalities that helped create one of the best Police Departments of its time. I believe this is a one of a kind book and one to be enjoyed by anyone interested in the history of the Baltimore Police Department.

The Big Fake

release date: Feb 15, 2021
The Big Fake
The duality of male and female is as much a part of nature as the earth, sea and sky. The Male Building Block (MBB) and Female Building Block (FBB) are two halves of a whole. When these building blocks fit together, they form effective teams which are the basis of a strong society. During the last hundred years or so, the dimorphism of the genders has eroded, weakening the natural bond between male and female. The building blocks don't fit together anymore. Join cultural analyst Bob Wilson as he investigates the unravelling of the MBB-FBB pair bond which for many millennia has been the foundation of Western civilization. With an occasionally lighthearted touch and a generous helping of pop culture references, Wilson tracks the events and the key players that made them happen. He then goes a step further, exploring if the many changes of the last century that weakened this vital pair bond were more than just random chance.

The Ripple Effect

release date: Mar 20, 2018
The Ripple Effect
My grandchildren and I were standing at the edge of a still lake feeding the ducks, when my granddaughter picked up a pebble and tossed it into the lake. The pebble quickly sank to the bottom of the lake, but the effect of the pebble created many ripples. They keep spreading and spreading from the center and there was no way to stop them. The Ripple Effect is based on the concept that we are connected. We can and do affect each other. The result is a building of community that will affect how we treat others and the way we live our lives. All of us have passion for something as well as a vision and hope to use our gifts and talents for a greater purpose. The Ripple Effect was originally written as a textbook for a character class curriculum using an athletic medium designed to change the culture of sport that provided collegiate student athletes with application model for character-driven athletics. Today, it has become a resource that provides a guide that can apply to anyone who has an interest in desiring to pursue competitive excellence that emulates Christ. We live in a culture today that promotes comfort, not challenges. We want instant gratification free from consequences of our choices. Our choices and actions represent who we are; what we believe and define our character. The ripple effect provides a foundation for a person to better understand who they can become. The most important relationship a person will ever have is with themselves. The question is, are we doing the best they can to become more than they have become. Each ripple has a message, which is the pebble, a theme, which is the ripple effect, and an application that provides the action necessary to develop and improve character. To reach significance in the athletic arena as well as life one needs to be able to embrace competition, establish quality relationships, and develop values, "rules of the road" that become the lifestyle. What happens when we experience the ripple effect? We become a person with a Christ-like perspective with a renewed purpose, a new sense of direction, and enhanced relationships.

Seventy-One Guns

release date: Apr 13, 2012
Seventy-One Guns
In the summer of 1970, England was buzzing about the new football season. More than 30 million television viewers had watched the previous year''s FA Cup final and the brilliant Brazilians had dazzled audiences during the Mexico World Cup. The new age of televised highlights meant that football''s profile had never been greater, generating a new celebrity status for footballers and catapulting them into the limelight like never before. The 1970-71 season did not disappoint as Arsenal achieved the first Double of football''s televised era amid controversy and drama. The Football League and FA Cup were won at the end of a campaign that included a street fight in Rome, the emergence of new young stars and unrest and unhappiness among some of the older players. Seventy-One Guns includes extensive interviews with the Arsenal players and coaches and, through their memories, ancedote and opinions, recreates the drama of that memorable season. Looking beyond Highbury''s Marble Hall, the book also recounts some of the events that made 1970-71 a historic time in English football in general, including: the rise of Leeds under Don Revie; the demise of Manchester United and the problems of George Best; football''s attempt to clamp down on the hard men; and troubled times for Alf Ramsey''s England in the wake of the Mexico World Cup. Seventy-One Guns is a must for all Arsenal fans and all those who fondly recall the days of mutton-chop sideburns, white boots and mud-heap pitches.
