The collection consists of 43 signed letters and four miscellaneous documents received by Weed. Most of the earlier letters are handwritten, while letters after 1910 are usually typewritten. One letter is undated. The four documents are: the Library of Congress certificate for the deposit of Stories of insect life : second series, summer and autumn (c1899), which Weed coauthored with Mary E. Murtfeldt; the program from the 16th annual meeting of the Association of Economic Entomologists held in St. Louis, Mo., Dec. 29-30, 1903; an information sheet from the Entomological Society of Washington, with L.O. Howard''s handwritten note offering to propose Weed for membership; and a printed slip with a biographical sketch of Frank Clay Cross. Correspondents include L.H. Bailey, Anna B.
